Why do I need outsourcing?

What is the difference between offshoring and outsourcing?

When people use the term offshoring, they are usually referring to back office processing (BPO), where accounting firms set up an office in another country. The best part about this model is that the offshore team belongs to you. They are your full-time employees and will become familiar with your clients and processes. 


The transactional model, known as outsourcing, involves sending a portion of your work to a transactional provider. The provider then finds experienced accountants to get the job done. With this model, you do not have full-time staff. Instead, you’ll pay 20-40% of the client fee in return for people who know what they’re doing. 


While both models look good on paper, they do not live up to expectations. The BPO model comes with long periods of training and a high staff turnover, while the transactional model means that you will get different people all the time. This leads to inconsistency and a lot of unchargeable hours spent on training. 


At Tipu Resourcing, we invest in knowledge. We build a core team of accountants tasked to look after your firm and your firm only. If a team member leaves, the knowledge (i.e. your systems and processes), will be stored in our database to ensure a smooth handover. You will also have a dedicated team leader to ensure consistency and train staff so that you don’t have to.
